It uses a non-dry German-made refill, specifically a Swiss Military-Roller Pen refill or a 0.7mm NSTC OB Gel Blue Jotter Refill for the Swiss Military-Ball Pen. It operates with a top twist mechanism or screw open mechanism. The writing length is 1000 meters for the Roller Pen and 3000 to 3500 meters for the Ball Pen.
