Conference giveaways are judged by a metric most people do not measure: how many leave the venue in someone's bag rather than in the bin by the exit. Most booth spend fails that test.
Entry giveaway (sticker, pen, candy) for every booth visitor. Mid giveaway (notebook, bottle) for scanned leads. Premium (power bank, backpack) for demo-booked attendees. Different tiers = incentive for deeper engagement.
An attendee at a Bangalore tech conference collects from many booths and triages before leaving. What survives is small enough to carry, useful enough to justify the space, and not obviously identical to what three other booths handed out. Anything bulky, fragile or single-use loses that triage regardless of what it cost you.
Event attendance figures describe the venue, not your booth. Ordering giveaways against total attendance produces a large quantity of surplus that then has to be shipped back and stored. Order against realistic booth traffic, keep the premium tier deliberately scarce, and arrange in advance how anything left over comes back.
