Christmas and Year-End Gifting for Bangalore Companies

End-of-year corporate gifting ideas, timelines, and pricing for Bangalore.

Year-end gifting in Bangalore runs into a hard constraint that Diwali does not: December is when everybody else is gifting too, when courier networks are at their busiest, and when a large part of your recipient list is away. The planning matters more than the gift.

December is the second-biggest gifting season in Bangalore after Diwali. MNCs especially lean in heavily.

Timelines

Book by November 10 for December 20 delivery. Factor in courier load — December is peak courier season and slow.

Hamper ideas

  • Branded wine (or sparkling grape juice) + artisan cheese (where compliance permits)
  • Christmas cookie box + single-origin coffee
  • Scented candle trio + premium chocolate
  • Winter apparel (office-branded hoodie or shawl)
  • Year-end reflection journal + premium pen

Budget range

₹1,500-₹4,000 per employee. MNC tiers often at ₹6,000+.

The calendar is the whole problem

Client offices thin out from around the third week of December and many do not fully return until after the new year. A gift arriving into an empty reception sits there, and a personalised one addressed to someone on leave may not reach them at all. Landing gifts in the second week rather than the fourth solves most of this, and it also puts you ahead of the congestion rather than inside it.

What to settle early

  • The recipient list, cleaned. Year-end is when the cost of an out-of-date address list becomes visible, because there is no time to recover a failed delivery.
  • Whether the gift is neutral or explicitly Christmas-themed. A mixed recipient base usually makes a year-end or new-year framing the safer choice.
  • Anything requiring branding or personalisation, which has a production lead time that December does not forgive.
  • Who signs the card, and whether it is the same person for every recipient. This is a surprisingly common late blocker.

Consumables versus objects

Year-end gifting leans heavily towards food hampers, which are well received and have a shelf life that interacts badly with an empty office. If delivery timing is uncertain, an object keeps and a perishable hamper does not. Where the recipient may be away, that consideration should outrank presentation.
