Branded bottles are the most-ordered item in corporate merchandise and the one where the difference between a good and a poor unit is least visible in a photograph.

Material comparison

  • Stainless steel insulated (500ml): ₹280-₹450. Most popular, keeps hot/cold 12+ hrs.
  • Copper (750ml): ₹380-₹600. Premium, health angle, less durable (dents).
  • Plastic/Tritan (700ml): ₹120-₹250. Cheap option, less premium, easier to break.
  • Glass (borosilicate 500ml): ₹200-₹350. Looks good, fragile.

Branding methods

  • Laser engraving on steel: permanent, premium look
  • UV printing: colour logo, less durable than laser
  • Silicone sleeve with logo: protective + branded

Pitfalls

Cheap steel bottles rust within months — always insist on 304-grade steel. Copper bottles without inner lining tarnish. Printing on round bottles distorts unless the machine has a rotation axis.

What separates a good bottle from a cheap one

Three things, none of which show in a catalogue image: whether the interior is genuinely food-grade stainless rather than a coated lower grade, whether the vacuum insulation actually holds temperature for the hours claimed, and whether the lid seals reliably when carried in a bag. The third is the one that ends a bottle’s life — a bottle that has leaked into someone’s laptop bag once is never carried again.

Ask for these before ordering at volume

  • A physical sample you can carry inverted in a bag for a day. This single test predicts most of the outcome.
  • The steel grade, stated rather than implied. 304 and 316 are the grades in ordinary use.
  • Whether the branding method survives dishwashing, and whether the bottle is dishwasher-safe at all.
  • Capacity as measured rather than as printed, which is not always the same figure.

Branding placement and wear

Laser engraving on steel is permanent and produces a single tonal mark rather than colour. Printing gives colour and wears at the points the bottle is gripped and set down. If the logo must be in specific colours, printing is the only option and the placement should avoid the lower third, which takes most of the abrasion.
